Safety & Environment

We aim to lead the HDD industry in promoting health, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Our HSE program includes training our employees in behaviour based safety, including courses such as, Job Observation and Hazard ID, Leadership Training, and Incident Investigation. The Crossing Company is the only HDD contractor to be IRP 16 compliant using the PST (Petroleum Safety Training) venue.

Environment and Community

Reducing the impact that oil and gas development has on the environment and the community is of the utmost importance at The Crossing Company Inc. Horizontal Directional Drilling is a process that is almost exclusively utilized to minimize the environmental impact on sensitive areas. We regularly operate in environments and ecosystems in which endangered species exist and environmental preservation is the first priority.

Advancements within our industry allow us to operate within a small footprint thus minimizing the disturbance to the surrounding area and ecosystems. Many technically innovative approaches have been and continue to be implemented at The Crossing Company. Advanced monitoring systems, non-toxic drilling fluids, downhole pressure monitoring, in-house custom data management software, and advanced drill and intersect techniques all allow us to meaningfully control the likelihood of any environmental difficulties.

We have operated in the heart of urban centers and in the most remote rural areas. Regardless of the location, we maintain the same industry leading practices. From rig up to rig out we leave areas in which we operate just as we they were found.
